Packing tape consists of a backing with an adhesive layer. This combination affects how the tape handles and adheres. Two rolls of the same colour and size can therefore have different properties.
The backing
The backing is the material to which the adhesive is applied. PP and PVC are among the materials used for plastic packing tape.
When comparing tapes, consider the complete specification. The designation PP or PVC alone does not tell you how the tape unwinds or how suitable it is for your packing operations.
The adhesive type
Packing tapes are available with various adhesive systems, including acrylic, hot melt and natural rubber. The right option depends on the surface and the conditions in which you apply and use the tape.
Tell us, for example, whether you work with recycled cardboard, printed boxes or a cold packing area. This allows us to assess the product properties against your specific application.
